This insurance company opened its doors in Texas in 1962. The company was acquired in 2005 by Century Surety Company, and changed its name to ProCentury Insurance Company.

ProCentury is licensed as an admitted company in 34 states and the District of Columbia. It also operates on a surplus lines or non-admitted basis in Ohio.

ProCentury became a subsidiary of AmeriTrust Group in 2008.
